C1 parts from Australia

Postby thirstyvette » Wed Oct 31, 2012 4:54 pm

Hi All,

Purchased my 61 recently and just got her on the road.
I have rang a few places for C1 parts but haven't had much luck.
Most handle C2 and moreso C3 and up.

I was lucky enough mine came with quite a few parts when bought. The old owner obviously knew what was needed and just didn't get around to it!
Can anyone recommend a decent C1 parts supplier in AUS?

Kind Regards,
John

Hi John

Welcome on board.

I would suggest you would be better off buying your parts in the US and shipping them here.

Willcox or Zip are worth a go and you get them fairly fast (especially from zip) and cheaper than you could get here in most cases.

A) - there's just not a big enough demand over here for people to carry much in the way of C1 parts. Although you will probably find that SOME consumables might be available from repco under a different designation, like many other models of vette are...

Hi,
I have also found Corvette Central and Paragon are good for parts, with postage not being too expensive.
Regards,
Craig
