1960 price ideas?

Had a bloke (Craig) call me last night about a 1960 triple black he offered $75k for yesterday, to a car mob in the USA.
The guy said no, he wanted $90k!

Condition is only fair and although it’s a matching numbers car, the panel were somewhat out of whack.

I invited him to join the forum to get some input from people; hopefully we can have some opinions by the time he does - anyone have thoughts about this price range being reasonable for this vintage / condition?

I've just had a quick look on carsales, and prices vary a LOT; $45k and upwards to way over $90k!

Craig said customs had quoted him just under $20,000 for the privelledge!

I just looked up sales from the Mecum Auctions and found the same variances, range from 36K for a POS up to 110K for immaculate. Most of the sales were in the 50-80 bracket and they seemed decent drivers. So his 75K seemed a good offer for a triple black with panel damage.
