Hi Winfield RED -

Thank you!

They really look like they are on fire!

A young man who posts on Corvetteforum.com was starting up a business doing what he called "real flame" paint work.

He had a introductory special and I jumped on it -

The picture does not do them justice - they are mirror gloss and really works of art.

My wife Maggie likes to open the hood for folks - guys like to ask her about the car , usually thinking it is her husbands etc....Then they find out she knows a lot about her car - and she is proud of it and will show them that engine.....

thank you for your kind comment....

best regards -

hi Winfield -

Really? That is pretty interesting - there are not too many Mapleton's in the states....Our town is about 1000 people, small township, has it's own post office.

It is just on the outskirts of Peoria, Illinois.

We make big yellow crawler-tractors here where I work.....

Hi Panther -

The fellow who painted mine is located in Oklahoma.

He had a group purchase last fall on Corvetteforum.com where he is a "supporting vendor".

The price I achieved was lower than he charges now - he was trying to drum up business when he started.

I think he charges around ~$200 USD and you provide the fuel rail covers (FRC's). Perhaps he could be talked into a group purchase for you folks.

Here is a link to his picture pages:

Is it worth asking him?

I forgot to speak to the pipes on the 99 coupe -

I think they are a little too small, but the tips measure out right about where the stock tips extended to.

I need to take them off and paint them, they are rusting where the welding is.

Here it is from another angle -
