Ferrari Vs Corvette

Postby australi » Sun Sep 10, 2006 5:04 pm

...It must really annoy Ferrari owners that most modern Corvettes can wipe them out at the top end! :-x

...But then; Most Ferrari owners would NEVER admit to the figures!

DAMNIT! Now you’ve forced me to exercise my mind (I hate that!), PLUS pull out my Ferrari book! Hehehe…The two models I can’t stand are the 400GT, brought out in 1976 and the 308 GT4 2+2 brought out in 1973.

It’s like how I can’t stand that Harley-Davidson sells the ‘sportsters’ as well as the REAL Harleys; they’re a breed apart, but then vehicle manufacturers have to TRY to cater to as much of the market as they can grab I guess.

…In Ferraris case though, they finally lost and FIAT now owns them I believe (or they may have changed hands since)…

...and as for tail lights; I always wondered who copied WHO; Did Ferrari copy CORVETTE or visa Versa? (Chicken and the egg scenario)

The 'knuckle heads', first made in 1936 and later models like the '42 WLA's - available widely as surplus army issues post WWII, were often chopped down to use
AS a sports bike, but the model K Sport and Sport Solo motorcycles were introduced first in 1952.

The first Harley was a single cylinder bike (Dubbed 'The silent Grey fellow') as you probably know, before they introduced a V-Twin later...

Wow, didn't realize how knowledgable you were! :D i suppose all I was getting at is if anythingIMHO Sportsters are more "Harley" heritage wise than any of the Evos, TC's, or other newer evolutions of the Harley Davidson brand.

Man it was ugly (the colour) !!!

Saw another new Lambo next suburb to mine a few months earlier, but it was a nice yellow sort of colour...MUCH more acceptable ~ Looked (to me) very similar in hue to the yellow they use on the new Ferraris...

Yep; Corvettes, Ferraris & Lambo's are the ONLY cars I think, that CAN get away with being YELLOW!!! :o
