.... Also after a lot of searching and discussion in various forums I had to bit the bullett for the Cable-X controller.... as has been the case before on this refresh, I waited and researched hoping to find a better alternative but in the end paid the price for not picking it up when the AUD was strong against the USD Phew!

Grass Hopper Say "Lesson 2" always buy expensive items you know you will need when the AUD is strong (not that we are likely to see that for another 20 years!)

Make sure you rubber mount it as its quite noisy, also keep the cable as straight as possible to stop the needle " swinging" .
Good luck with the calculation too, after I did the initial set up , I was about 5km/h out so I ended up using the codes from other line(s) and we drove around with a hand help gps to fine tune it .

I was actually looking at getting the cable shortened and mounting it under the brake master cylinder but ended up making the cable run through the firewall right next to the steering column to reduce the bend and have one less hole .

Hi all

Just inserting some extra photos for reference, these are for the new radiator setup that I did, I basically made up a sealed single electric fan unit connected for now to a temperature controller

Thanks in advance
Pete

looks good , does it go as good as you would expect?

I see you finished the cold air intake , I suppose because you ended up with a mafless tune you cant really compare the before or after effects of the OTR intake ?

nice colour as well :o :o

There is a new Mazda red , it looks very close to a candy , if I ever do a red car that would be the colour . But theres too many red ones as is :-x

bet it feels good to have all that behind you .....for a while anyway :o

Hey Bazza, The car drives really well for a mostly stock set-up, plenty of power from the LS1 and No Mafless tune yet, totally stock, the air intake area appears large enough as I haven't noticed any loss of power due to lack of air getting into the intake. I'm looking into upgrading the front and rear suspension set-up maybe, all part of the wish list :-) -)

Ah so the maf is still on it ? It fits in there ok eh, I might do that mod next on my 77. Although I will do it in glass if I actually get round to it.

Yes, did mine in glass too, so much easier, it takes a while to get all the measurements though.

As you are probably aware the kph marking on the C3 speedo face are pretty small and I found it was easy to be going over the speed limit without realising it. I already had a stick on set of dial gauges that have a white face which I purchased from http://www.whiteguages.net but my viewing angle/steering wheel and eyesight wasn't quite good enough to see the inner kph on the face that well, so anyway the helpful guys over at whiteguages.net have made-up a set of dial gauges with kph on the outside of the dial, they also come in different colour faces.

So if your an everyday C3 driver like me and want kph instead of mph on the outside dial face then these guys have your answer.
