Yeah, they ('The Corvette Kittens') definitely weren't up to previous standards that year at that event...

I had issues with fouling plugs too..... decided to use hotter plugs.
Probably lost a bit of power, but there's no issue with fouling now.

In regards to diff.... gat a call today from diff builder... He's fitted the replacement 400lb springs, and I'll pick the diff up on Monday.
I'm waiting on Maxxy to get back to me with some parts prices for suspension bits, and I'll do the changeover soon.

I'm expecting the 3.73 to provide a bit more :-) :o

:-x :)
...The truth is I don't know other than a pair of electric motors mate; I didn't build it.

They just lift the headlight array via a metal link which goes to a rotating cam sort of affair with another short link; both links or arms,
have nylon cups at each end (& I wish I DID know the proper name for those cups - they're the same type of thing that my Celica coupe had inside the rear hatch
to work the wiper arms
- I need a new one for the lights and it would help if I knew where to look and what they're called!

...You can inspect the dark lord till your hearts content when we meet mate :o

Hi Steve,

I actually read the thread from the start. This is truely one sweet vette. You have the combination of the best of both worlds. Modern interior and engine with old car classic lines that still looks up to date. Even more interesting that it started off as a wreak.

One of the nicest modified Stingray shapes around.

My Test Drive Report

Postby Stingraynut » Sun May 30, 2010 11:37 am

I've written a report of my recent Test Drive of The Dark Lord -

"on a clear country road, I gave it about half throttle. It shot off like a rocket and I banged my head hard on the rear Targa bar as it changed into second. Steve told me he’d had the shift adjusted to be firm – yeah, thanks mate, that didn’t ease the pain at all."

The rest is at my blog "The Shed' http://shed.robhealey.com.au/cars/custom-corvette/
