i used to have run flats on my suzuki sierra ( with the big block 970cc engine) i got a flat and when i bought the car the spare was padlocked onto the back...and guess who didnt have a key?this was before mobile phones were common so run flat i did...all the way home....stuffed tyre but good thing with desert dueller tyres is they have a huge sidewall, combined with the 750kg or the car and no damage to the rim.

you know the funny thing was.....its probly one of the most capable 4wd's you can buy.....bro had a holden rodeo and my little thing could go more places than he could......then he got hold of a hilux, and still couldnt match mine......went ovr a pointy hill and he literally got marrooned on top....ALL wheels ere off the ground and he was beached.....i just drove past him...the short wheel base was fantastic.....and the low ratio brilliant.....i could go in low first gear and let the clutch out and climb out and walk next to it.....
bro now has a brand new triton....which i think is the most ugliest thing ive ever seen.....very nice inside but butt ugly....youngest bro has just bought a new triton as well......and i STILL think the sierra would murder them both in the rough stuff....
mine had 4:11 gears and not many of anything would get the jump at the lights....the most expensive car i embarressed? a mercedes benz with the compressor motor......i miss it....was slow with a top speed off 100kph @ 5800rpm(only had the 4 speed not the 5 speed)but could pull just about anything....
interesting tale here.....tried to pull a stump out of bro in law's house....tied a rope on ,and drove away.went about 10 feet and "SPROING"i didnt worry about a seatbelt as was only doing 10kph....with an iced coffee between my legs......dammed if i didnt hit the steering wheel with my chest the screen with my head and spill my milk on my feet.....]bloke across the strret with his hilux laughed and said let a real 4wd have a go....my pleasure mate.....he didnt do much better,so i went to see dad and borrowed his 1965 willeys truck...all 3 tonne of it with a 285ci straight six...bloke laughed even harder.now the thing ive learned is when pulling stumps its not the power of the car...its the torque and weight of the car that does the work.hooked this sucker up and drove away......ripped that sucker out easy as......
