Thanks, guys. I'm in Nelson, NW corner of the S. Island.

Car arrived in shocking condition after being mistreated along the way. Filthy, centre spoiler ripped out, flat rear tyre stuffed onto passenger's seat, mounted spare flat, 1/2 tank of fuel gone, battery dead, inside stuff stolen, scratches on body, battery acid leak. In agitated shock, I call AA who try to jump start it and spray ether into the Trottle Body (no fuel, no go). Small fire!! Maf and duct get cooked. NIghtmare.

One week later, running real well now on default MAF setting but seems to be rich. Insurance claims pending.

Jesus.

So, was that a roll-on, roll-off shipment where many hands were involved, or is that how it came out of a container?

:-D Nelson is ABOUT the only area of NZ that I haven't been to yet. Planned to last trip a few months back and catch ferry across for something different, but we changed plans as time went on.

* Thanks YLLA for taking the MAF pic; :D

I would've taken a pic of mine if no one else did, but mines slightly fiddly as I have a smooth bore air intake fitted that has to be wrangled in and out of place.

The wire KiwiC4 is not only integral with the MAF needs of analysis, but a relay also enables a 'burn off' cycle which briefly heats up the wire to (try to) rid itself of oil buildup etc

Four segments to the way over:
Transporter to LA
Container from LA to Wellington
Transporter from freight terminal to Cook Strait ferry
Ferry to Picton, which is where I first saw it.

At some point, a car was stored over it, leaked oil, staining the ragtop. I kept asking, "It's a convertible, put nothing over it." Like talking into a black hole.
