Car Trackers

Postby silver383 » Sat Jun 13, 2015 8:21 am

There has been a lot of cars being stolen and stripped with no way of finding them. One bloke had his XWGT stolen at gun point this week in daylight on a main road. Something like this could be a good way to locate your pride and joy if hidden properly out of site . They have other features as well.
i am not suggesting this is the one to buy and maybe some one more knowledgeable could follow up with some info on the best brands or type but this is just to give an idea of what you can get.

I bought something very similar on ebay for around the same price. When I tested it, it pinpointed to a location about a block away so I returned it. Unless there was a murder involved, I can't see the police searching every property in a one block radius.

You get what you pay for.

Bloody hell my phone does better than that. If something of mine was missing and I knew what block it was in I'm sure I'd get it back though and definitely would be involving the police . :B
I will let you know how this one works.

Suddenly becoming stationary that's what gets you.

I can't understand how they can run the biggest country in the world. With such Shit quality workmanship and materials!

It's exactly how they run the biggest country; they sell cheap products to all the people in neighbouring countries that can't afford the high end gear. They deliberately make their products cheap, they're not wanting to compete with the high end; they want to sell high volume and especially to the poorer. The poorer want something affordable that just does the job or close enough to it at a fraction of the cost of high end gear.

The problem is when you get dodgy western salesmen selling the cheap stuff for more than its worth and trying to pass it off as something of quality.

Like we were discussing at the cafe on sunday Doc;

My chrome alternator on the dark lord; bought a brand new one ~4? years ago - was about $200 - $300 all nice and chrome, big amperage AND was SAID to be AC-DELCO, but clearly AFTER that it should have said 'style'!! Its done maybe 100 - 200kms, but of course TIME-wise, now out of warrantee...I reckon car parts should go by mileage, not age. :evil: :evil:

Off to DRS now; routine is all this time...
