Premium 100 octane at the pump

Postby Bazzas77 » Fri Jul 05, 2013 8:49 am

I was told about this last week by a guy whos running it in his C4, he says he can feel a differance for the better. He has already used a couple of tanks full and hasnt had any dramas yet

All the outlets are too far away from me to justify just going and getting it though.

anyone else tried it ?

Use search for this topic mate; we covered it in depth some years ago.

I ran it in my C4 and was bad; had to adjust things as it wanted to snuff on idle.

The C3 however, ran fine on 100%

100 octane is VERY RARE over my side of Brisbane too; only one place I know of that sells it and it's way on the other side of town.

There is a United up the road from me and I've occasionally put it in for curosity. Never had a drama with it. When Shell had the V-power 100 that was great stuff.

Hiya Bazza, Used it in my old LS1 Vette + I added a can of Octane boost and injector cleaner..........pulled 130 mph in 3rd down the straight at Lakeside :) :) :) :) :) :) :o
And being United.....it was cheaper than Shell or Caltex (Coles or Woolies) even after their discounts :-x :-x :-x :-x :o

I run shell,BP, Mobil 98
In a 496   10.5 /1 compression ratio  22degs initial advance
No pining and no problems except for  the bank account
But that's a carbureted engine for you
