Postby Jarrad » Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:34 pm

Hi all, anyone interested in a 2000 C5?

Now i'm not sure if this is a good deal, ill post it anyway. And i know some of you might think its dodgy to go America > Japan > Australia. It's how my car travelled, and I ended up getting a bargain on mine since I did it this way.

From what I saw on carsales.com.au, this could be quite the bargain. Car looks very clean and this is the mob that I imported my corvette through, and they treated me well (informed me about 5 or 6 times that the cars i asked for them to inspect for me were rusty pieces of sh*t and werent worth buying).

Thought i'd post anyway, feel free to tell me its a rip. I wouldn't know much!

'The quick and the dead' mate...

MAYBE, but I note it said "no MAGOR accident damage" - indicating to me that it HAS sustained SOME past damage...never an ideal thing.

I'm pretty sure all imports through j-spec say that. Damage is rated by the auction grade and this was 4, which is pretty good. Mine was 3.5, meaning some work needed. They usually report damage repair, i think its just to cover their own asses if its not discovered by them.

Mate of mine in Bris got one from South Africa last year. Paid about $15K for it  Good nick and no rust. He is currently doing it up very nicely.

the thing is, with the stupid prices of falcon gt's at the present i can only see the south affrican gt's going UP in value...
for some strnge reason people want a gt....me included.
sure they were nice, fast etc etc IN THEIR DAY, but christ i really cant see the value in them.
there must be more gt FAKERS in the country than ford ever made originally...

I have had an imaculate low k one but years ago, making 20k proffit was a huge win.Houses on the coast were going for 80k.
ps i'm not old [I think  ]
Best thing about any vette is you know it is a true item :o
