| MAXX, im not sure since performax took the pricelist of the net.... but from memory, it was at least 27 grand. last year or the year before... i dont think that wouldve changed much either. we're still seeing prices above 100 for C5's.... dont think i can blow that much money on a car... another house would be better |

sure is MAXX.... only i dont know myself.... ive just heard its a real killer.
ill try doing a bit of researching, maybe in the mean time one of the other guys will step in.
i do know however, if you own the car for over a 12 months (and live in the US for the same period) then taxes are dramatically reduced, or wavered (not exactly sure).... but i dont know whether having to move here is part of that deal or not. |

Im here blokes, have a look here: http://www.corvette.com.au/RHD%20Conversions/RHD%20Conversions-15.aspx for the conversion, and its about $34,000 i think. No idea though. Panther is the man to talk to though.
Can get you a C5 for about $65,000 Stevo, but a cheap C5 is a shit C5, imagine pulling apart your C4 and how much of a pain you reckon that is, the C5 is even worse. Youd be paying for me to fly back and foward every few weeks to help you tear your C5 apart!!! (not that i would mind though mate, ill be there anytime you need me ) |

cant say ive seen any as cheap as 65g's..... but i would totally agree with you on both your points, it would be a sh*t C5 for that money and it would be a b*tch to pull down, when i can afford it Case, youll be on the next plane, trust me |

| Yeah there was one sold over here in QLD for about $50,000 about 2.5 years ago mate, took them 6 months to get it running from what i heard (so if that's true, imagine the potential cost involved just there), but then im not certain cause i never saw anyone drive it or try to start it. I did see the car though, red 1997 coupe (they only had the targa top coupe in 97 anyway) it had alot of very hard miles on it from what i could see, and it was bent at some stage too. |

Steve87: SO i guess you didn't see the white c5 rhd at ALL AMERICAN for $59990?
I was having a look! very nice, low and wide, but not as low as the c4 :-D
I reckon the c4 is a better sports car in the fact of seat and feel, they say the c5 is more like a sedan in the seats compartment!
Yeah faster and better handling, but for the price of one, you could have an awesome c4!
Also don't get the first ones! i think from 2002 onwards they were better!
They have lots of problems, like diff and transmissons etc!

conversions are about $34K + gst thats the going rate
depends on who did the conversion if you find one for sale under $75K you will more than likely need up with someones problem that they just got sick off.
The C5 is far more comfortable on a trip than a C4, they say, is from someone that has no idea.
Would I spend that much on a C4, well I almost got that far, did it make it better than a C5, get real, you can't compare a C1 or C anything with the model before its chalk nd cheese
C6, to me they have the worst seats since C3 I get a sore butt in them, the dash is boring and has lost any sport type design like the C5, I had a 92 loved the dash style, always hated the C4 flat dash.
So what it boils done to is personal tastes, for me its the C5 and its my last Vette, as I said I don't like the C6 for a few reasons, would I go back to a older corvette, not bloody likley, I may like some of the styles but having had most styles I moved on.
quick example: I liked my VL Calais 1986 I have a 95 statsman which do I perfeer, you wont need to guess |
