Lehte has purchased a new car...many answers and questions on this very topic, but avg response is 20 – even 50 is ‘ok’ but no more.

Its eating at me a bit tho as I don’t trust them!

Here’s one response

Our system inserts 20k automatically. I'm not sure how many Kms are on that car but I can find it in the holding yard and let you know. New cars can be anywhere up to 30km depending on they're movements from Japan.

Thanks Craig.

Just wondering; paperwork says 20km on clock??
We’d like as close as possible to 0 kms.

Cheers,
Steve

driven off the production line into a holding yard, could be couple km away,
holding yard on to truck for delivery,
driven off the truck into the shipping holding yard, ( have you c'n the size of those places)
holding yard to roll on roll off ship,
off ship to another holding yard,
onto truck to dealer,
driven to get tinted windows done/detailed, returned to dealer....
the list goes on.

some modern cars can also be reset once by the dealer if under 100km....

there are many factors, 30km is nothing to worry about.
Speed has never killed anyone,
Suddenly becoming stationary that's what gets you.
